During this half day course, learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to administer effective CPR and use an AED when dealing with an emergency situation. Topics covered include: CPR, choking, safe use of an AED, using an AED on a child, AED maintenance and more.

During this 1 day course, learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations, including: managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, choking, shock, wounds and bleeding and minor injuries.

Over 1 extended day, learners will develop the knowledge and practical competencies needed to provide effective first aid for adults, children and infants. Topics include: CPR and AED use, choking, wounds and bleeding, unconscious casualty and more

During this 1 day course, learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of paediatric first aid situations, including: managing an unresponsive infant or child, CPR, choking, seizures, external bleeding and more

Over a 3 day period, learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of first aid situations, including: assessing an incident, managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, heart attacks, choking, head and spinal injuries, fractures, anaphylaxis and more.

Successful Learners will develop the practical competencies needed to provide adult, child and infant BLS, safely use an AED and manage a casualty with anaphylaxis. Fulfilling the competencies set out in the PHEM skills framework at descriptor level E, this qualification provides learners with the knowledge, skills and competencies needed to be able to deal with a wide range of Prehospital care emergencies, such as: major incidents, fracture immobilisation, sick and injured children, mental health issues and more

Over one day, learners’ performance will be optimised to deal with a deteriorating patient, resuscitation attempts and related events. The qualification will develop their existing knowledge and skills in patient assessment, devising a working diagnosis and recognising deterioration and management. Learners’ existing skills will also be developed so that they work effectively in a team to resuscitate patients in medical or traumatic cardiac arrest, in the out of hospital/prehospital environment.

Welfare And Vulnerability Engagement (WAVE) training is a package developed to provide those working in the licensed industry with an awareness of vulnerability, their responsibilities it and how to deal with it.
WAVE Training aims to increase the skills, knowledge and confidence of those working in licensed premises focusing on identifying vulnerability and making appropriate interventions.
WAVE is based on FIVE KEY principles:
Preventing and reducing violent crime linked to the licensed economy
Preventing and reducing sexual offences
Reducing preventable injury linked to alcohol and drug use in the licensed economy
Reducing opportunities for criminal activity and anti-social behaviour in licensed premises
Promoting partnerships and engagement with communities and key stakeholders in the licensed economy
